Happy Giving Tuesday!

ree

As we head into the holiday season and enjoy the first truly wintery day (yay, snow!), it's time to remember the joy that comes from giving and the incredible impact it can create.

Since 2012, Giving Tuesday has taken place on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving, celebrating generosity in all its forms. It’s a day when individuals, families, and organizations join together to build on the spirt of generosity and togetherness to lift their communities by support the causes they believe in.

At the Montessori School of Pullman, your generosity fuels something extraordinary: the growth, curiosity, and independence of our community’s children. Every gift—big or small—helps us continue offering high-quality, Montessori-based early childhood education to families throughout the Palouse. When you support MSOP, you’re investing in a learning environment where children gain the confidence to explore, create, and thrive.

Most donations the school receives go directly toward everyday essentials like rent, teacher salaries, and keeping tuition affordable for hardworking families. These behind-the-scenes costs are what make our warm, joyful classrooms possible.

Right now, we also have an especially exciting opportunity ahead. As Crystal shared in her update about our move to the former Franklin Elementary School building, relocating our school has been a huge step forward—one filled with both excitement and significant financial expense. To complete the transition, we must replace the playground equipment that had to be removed for licensing reasons.

The playground that had to be removed was used and loved by the entire community and we want the tradition of coming together to play and laugh in outdoor community spaces to continue, so we’re partnering with the Phoenix Conservancy and consultants at Northwest Playground—the playground design company who worked on recent updates to many Pullman area parks like the Harrison Tot Lot—to dream up a beautiful, nature-inspired community playspace that sparks wonder in young children and honors the unique landscape of the Palouse. Any funding we receive beyond our operating needs will go toward bringing this incredible vision to life.

We’re already off to a wonderful start—in November alone, twelve generous donors contributed a total of $1,120, with gifts ranging from $5 to $400. To those who have recently donated to the school: Thank you for believing in our mission!

Let’s keep the momentum going. Let’s make this Giving Tuesday our strongest yet.

If you can, please visit our donations page and contribute to MSOP’s bright and inspiring future. Together, we can create a place where every child learn, create, explore, and shine.
